Alvord High School's English Language Arts program empowers students to find their voice and make meaningful connections between reading selections, current events, and their own lives. 

We encourage our students to take ownership of their learning by offering a supportive environment where students explore diverse texts, engage in creative writing projects, and build the confidence they need to find success at Alvord High School.

Classes focus on student well-being and are designed to build essential skills for success in college and career readiness, as well as prepare students for life beyond high school.
